And today's cookie is the snickerdoodle. This is not one I make often, so the kids took advantage and ate them to extinction.
The Snickerdoodle
Ingredients:
1 C butter
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 C flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3 TBS sugar
3 TBS cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs.
3. In another bowl, combine flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, and salt. Add flour mixture slowly to butter mixture.
4. Chill the dough for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
5. Scoop 1" balls and drop into cinnamon mixture and gently roll around.
6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
Help & Hints:
My cookies are pretty flat. You can also chill the cookie sheet if you don't like flat cookies.
